Lily Le Brun is an award-winning writer based in London. ​She is the author of Looking to Sea: Britain through the eyes of its artists (Sceptre, 2022), which won a Royal Society of Literature Giles St Aubyn award and was a Times Book of the Year. ​

 

Her reviews, interviews and features have appeared in publications such as the FT Life & Arts, FT Weekend Magazine, Tate Etc., The World of Interiors, The Economist, Apollo, House & Garden, The Modern House and The White Review. She has written catalogue essays for Christie's and for artists including Paula Rego and Tarka Kings.  She has spoken at the American Library in Paris and literary festivals including Cheltenham and Folkestone.
